Bullies like Rush Limbaugh are thoroughly predictable. As this blueprint demonstrates, they are far from original or thought-provoking, and they do everything they can to dodge responsibility.

1. Make fun of someone!
   She/he is funny looking, unattractive, not worthy of having sex with
   She/he is probably gay or transgender
   She’s not trying hard enough to look young and sexy
   She’s trying too hard to look young and sexy
   She’s a slut
   She’s frigid
   She’s ancient
   She’s fat
   She’s anorexic-looking
   She emasculates men
   He’s a wimp
   She/he has had too much plastic surgery
   She’s a golddigger
   He’s a thug, a criminal
   She’s an opportunistic welfare mother
   She/he is poor, jobless, homeless, hungry
   She/he has a physical disability
   She/he is mentally ill
   She/he is an “illegal alien” and is trying to take our jobs
   She/he is an “illegal alien” and is lazy
   She/he is so [plug in any racial, ethnic or gender stereotype]
    
2. Intensify the cruelty of your insults:
   Use words you would not use in front of your boss or grandmother
   Misrepresent what your target did or said
   Tell blatant lies about her/him
   Accuse her/him of doing stuff you think is disgusting, immoral, criminal
   Share really bad and/or revealing photos of her/him
   Keep talking about how much you do or don’t want to “nail” her
   Challenge her to do something sexual to/for you
   Make allusions to sexual assault/rape
   Make reference to her/his children, parents or significant other
   Compare her/him to an animal
    
3. Respond to criticism:
   Who…me?
   That’s not what I meant
   I was just joking
   You’re being too sensitive
   She/he was asking for it
   Maybe I could have chosen better words
   Why am I always being picked on?
   What about that other person who said something bad?
   I’m sorry if you took offense
   People who criticize me are jerks, hypocrites, losers and ugly!
